Dreams really do come true according to Toula Rose. She always dreamed of working in the fashion industry and with hard work she was able to do just that. “Since I was very young I have always had an interest in fashion. I decided to go to University to study Fashion Marketing and have been working within the industry ever since. I work with several of my favourite fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands to curate amazing content to share with people some of my favourite brands and products,” Toula says.
Start
Toula started off working in the fashion industry in an office job. However, it wasn’t all that cracked up as she expected. “I was working in the fashion industry but in an office job that took me 2 hours to commute to everyday and I simply wasn’t very happy,” Toula expresses.
No one wants to be unhappy in there career, but instead of giving up on her dream completely, she began to reflect on some ways that she could turn things around. “I always saw bloggers and thought I would love to do that, then one day it just hit me and I thought “well, why can’t I?” & that’s what I did. Within 6 months I was doing it as my full-time job,” Toula exclaims!
Moving Forward
Just because Toula has found great success in what she does, does not mean this is the final result. She has big plans as her career continues to grow! “Being a blogger is exciting, as the industry is evolving so are we. Who knows what’s next in terms of social media or the influencing industry in general? It has changed so much in the last 2 years alone. For me, I want to continue to grow as much as possible and continue sharing what I do, what products I use and places I travel to. I have been focusing on creating more video content for my Youtube as up until now instagram has been my main platform. A goal of mine would be to collaborate with a brand on a clothing collection. I also have some exciting big things planned that I can’t talk about yet, but watch this space,” Toula says.
Style
Of course working in the fashion industry, Toula has a nice eye for style. There’s no set way to describe her style however, if she likes it she wears it. Why be tied down to just one box! “I honestly, weirdly don’t have a set style, some days I could wear something quite smart and feminine and the next day I could be wearing ripped jeans and a band T-shirt! I love clothes too much that I can’t tie myself down to one particular style, I just wear what I feel like that day,” Toula explains.
What style/fashion accessory is your favorite?
I am a handbag girl all the way! They completely make an outfit so I will always have one with me.
If you can/could consider yourself an expert in one area of style/fashion, what would it be?
I would say I am an expert at mixing smart + casual wear together. I love the contrasting combo and I tend to do it a lot.
Can you give me a tutorial on how people can best incorporate that style/fashion advice in their life?
Sometimes you just want to be comfy! & there’s nothing wrong with that. You’d be surprised at how much you can dress up something as simple as a pair of joggers with some boot heels and a smart top. It’s all about getting the perfect balance.
